Change to billing info

    The credit card paying for this account has changed. The card attached to my profile should be billed going forward (from November of this year). Can I confirm that is what will happen? Up to this point, a different admin person has paid for this site.

    Hi there,

    Right now the domain connection upgrade is still owned by @emrprojects. So, they need to contact us (in this thread) and ask us to move that upgrade over to your account. Then, you’ll be able to renew it through your dashboard using your card.

    Hi,
    My email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) is the current address linked to the @emrprojects account. This needs to be removed and updated to (email visible only to moderators and staff). However, when I try to do this in the Account Settings, I receive a message saying the email address is already being used.
    I am no longer connected with emrprojectsummaries, so I need to be removed from the account.
    Can you assist with updating the contact information.

    Hi there!

    It’s not possible to use the same email address on two WordPress.com accounts. You aren’t able to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) because it’s already in use on a different WordPress.com account. You’ll need to update the email address on that account to something else first.

    Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Reset the password using the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) so that you can log in to the account to change the email address. You can follow the instructions here to reset the password using this email address.
    2. After logging in to the other account with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff), change the email address on that account to something else so that (email visible only to moderators and staff) is freed up.
    2. Confirm the change of the email address. Check this page for full instructions: https://wordpress.com/support/email-address/
    3. Once the email address on that account has been changed, log out of that account and log in to @emrprojects (this account).
    4. Follow the instructions here again to update the email address. This time, you will be able to change the email address to (email visible only to moderators and staff) since, by that time, you will have removed the email address from the other account.

    We aren’t able to update the email address for you since the email address is already connected to a different account. So you must follow the instructions above to free up the other email address or use a different email address that hasn’t already been used on another WordPress.com account.

    As far as I can see, this email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) is only linked to this site: https://wordpress.com/home/site.emrprojectsummaries.org

    I have another e-mail address linked to other WordPress sites.

    Could you please let me know which other site, beside https://wordpress.com/home/site.emrprojectsummaries.org this e-mail ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) is linked to?

    Is https://wordpress.com/home/site.emrprojectsummaries.org a different account to @emrprojects ?

    Hi @tdmellowileycom!

    (email visible only to moderators and staff) is the email address on the WordPress.com account that you’re writing from (tdmellowileycom). There are no other sites on this account as you can see by clicking My Sites at the top left of your dashboard.

    You are an administrator on the site https://site.emrprojectsummaries.org/ – so you will see the site on your WordPress.com dashboard. But the site is not owned by this account. The subscription was also not purchased from this account. They are under the @emrprojects account. So only the @emrprojects account can update the credit card information for this site.

    If you’d like to have the site ownership and the subscription transferred to your @tdmellowileycom account, there are two ways:

    1. Have the @emrprojects account owner post here to authorize us to transfer the subscriptions to your account and follow these instructions to make you the site owner.
    2. Have the @emrprojects account open a new thread in https://wordpress.com/help/contact requesting the same and we can take care of it.
