change web address

  Hi – I recently set up a premium account and associated blog/ website with wordpress.com. I paid $99 for it and I intended to name the site iaem2015.com. However, I made a mistake and named the site webchairsite.wordpress.com.
  How should I change the name of the site? I presume that this site is a premium one and will not contain wordpress in the name?

  Easily fixed!

  To add a domain, simply head to https://wordpress.com/domains/ , click “register a new domain name”, and enter iaem2015.com in the box.Then just follow the instructions that appear to register your domain.

  Let me know if you have any trouble.

  Thanks for the reply.
  I did as you suggested. I register iaem2015.com and set it as the primary domain on my account. Does it make any difference that the original wordpress address is webchairsite.wordpress.com?

  Not at all. The two domains do not have to be similar in any way.
