changed blog address not fully propagated
-
Yesterday, following the instructions posted, I changed my blog address from the old http://collaborativepsychotherapyhouston.com to the new http://hermeticorderforhumans.wordpress.com, and permanently removed the old collaborativepsychotherapyhouston blog.
The change has not fully propagated through the system. For example, the blog selection box that accompanies this topic creation box only shows the old address.
More importantly, I can navigate to my blog using the new http://hermeticorderforhumans.wordpress.com, but when the page is loaded, the URL is redisplayed as the old http://collaborativepsychotherapyhouston.com.
I would appreciate any help with this problem. — Aggie

Hi Aggie. It looks like you still have domain mapping (with the domain name collaborativepsychotherapyhouston.com), in which case your __.wordpress.com address (whatever it is) will be replaced by the __.com domain name.
What would you like to do? Cancel the __.com address and use your new __.wordpress.com address instead? If so, you’ll need to contact staff directly at support@wordpress.com

When you are logged into the Dashboard you will see – http://hermeticorderforhumans.wordpress.com/ – if you visit your site or are logged out you should see (as I see) http://collaborativepsychotherapyhouston.com/ – that is normal behavior – your visitors will always see the mapped domain you purchased.
Note – it can take 24 to 72 hours for all the changes to migrate across the internet. You can double check the migration of the name change here: http://www.whatsmydns.net/

airodyssey and auxclass,
Of course, that makes perfect sense.
Thank you very much!
