Changed email, need error email sent to new email
-
When I try to log into my website, I am receiving the message, ‘There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’ The email must have been sent to the email account I had listed before; however I no longer use that email and have just now changed my email account in the account settings. Can I receive the email that is telling me what the error is to the new email I have listed?

Hey there, the site isn’t hosted here with us, but your host can likely help.
– Ask your host to see if the email is stuck on their server
– Ask your host to check error logs
– If this happened with a recent theme or plugin update or install, you can manually remove one like so (especially if it’s mentioned in errors):
https://wordpress.org/support/article/managing-plugins/#manual-uninstallation– Ask your host to help you restore a good recent backup
Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct resources for help with the free WordPress code. We have some tips here: https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/#word-press-org-support
WordPress.com uses that free code for our hosting service. We provide support, maintenance, SSL, and more for our users. You can learn more about the differences here:
