Changed my site address but the old address is still active
-
I changed my side address from https://vihani.home.blog/ to https://dreamervi.home.blog/ but my old site address is also active. I want to get my old site address deleted, and old address content not to be found in google search results.

Hi there, it looks like your other site vihani.home.blog is not registered under this account you are using to post to the community forums. It looks like you have another WordPress.com account
vihani2020Once you log out of this account and then log back in with the correct username account, you can follow this guide to deleting your website. https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
Keep in mind that deleting a website does not immediately delete search engine results for your site. It can take between 4-6 weeks for that to happen when they recrawl and find your site is gone. WordPress.com has no control over that process.

My old account was https://vihani.home.blog/ and i used “change site address” to make it https://dreamervi.home.blog/ .. the day i changed site address to the new one, https://vihani.home.blog/ was removed from search engine results. But today i noticed that https://vihani.home.blog/ is again active in search results.
I tried to log into https://vihani.home.blog/ again by using its username but i can no longer log in to it. When i try to log in, i get a note “Account Deleted!
Maybe you have renamed your account.
If you believe your account is deleted in error try our account recovery form and we’ll do our best to get you running again”. Should i wait few weeks and see whether site will be gone from search engine results or is there anything else i should do? -

Hi there,
It looks like you have another account that owns vihani.home.blog. Please follow our Account Recovery guide to access that account:
-
I only have this account that i am using to reply from. And i want vihani.home.blog to be deleted as soon as possible
-
https://vihani.home.blog/ does not belong to the
reflectionswritervihaniaccount you’re using to post here, so we cannot delete that site at your request. That site is a completely separate site from yours, and was created three weeks ago by a completely different account. Only that account can delete that site.

After changing my site address i changed the username also. The content that is in https://vihani.home.blog/ belongs to me and i wrote them. I also have the activation mail of https://vihani.home.blog/.
-
Hmm, I see that is indeed so, though I don’t know how it’s possible as that site is only three weeks old. I’ve asked our developers to check what is going on here. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear from them, but that will likely only be after the weekend.
I also have the activation mail of https://vihani.home.blog/.
I’m not disputing that you used to own that address. But you changed that to something else which caused you to stop owning it, and since then someone else has registered that address, and they now own it.
-
Thank you very much for the response. I don’t remember when exactly i changed the site address, I recently changed it and maybe its three weeks back that i changed. Hope go get this solved after the weekend, this is very urgent.

Thanks for your patience as we investigated.
I can confirm that the site at https://vihani.home.blog/ is a completely new site, created after you stopped using that address. Unlike free example.wordpress.com addresses which cannot be re-used once deleted, free example.home.blog subdomains can be re-used, so the moment you changed away from that address, it became available for someone else to use.
So someone else create a new site with that address a few weeks after you stopped using it, and they now own that address.
The new site was created empty, and the content you see on it was imported by the site owner afterwards. Looking at the file they imported, they appear to have generated it by using a tool to scrape your site’s RSS feed. In other words, someone copied your content and added it on their site.
This falls under copyright violation, so please follow our DMCA process to request the removal of that content:
When you submit that, you’re welcome to also include a link to this forum thread – I’ve added notes to it that our terms of service team will be able to see that will give them additional information about this situation.
-
I tried that and got a mail telling “We reviewed your recently submitted DMCA notice, but we do not believe that your complaint properly falls under the DMCA“.
I tried to recover vihani.home.blog also which did not work. Can you please make ALL THE CONTENT in vihani.home.blog private and hidden from public?
I specially want https://vihani.home.blog/2019/12/25/merry-christmas-%F0%9F%8E%84/amp/ and https://vihani.home.blog/2019/12/29/the-drunk-man/amp/ to be hidden from public.
