Changed My URL

  I changed my URL for privacy concerns and now I have lost all the traffic to my blog. Is it true that I can not redirect it, or revert to the old URL? I guess I should have done some more research before I did this… Any help would be much appreciated.

  Hi there,

  If you did this less than 30 days ago, we can still restore the old address for you. Then you can buy our Site Redirect upgrade to redirect traffic to the new address. Please confirm the URL you want restored if you want to do this:

  But the decline in traffic from search engines should also be temporary – as long as your site is still set to public, search engines will re-index it in a few weeks, at which point your ranking in search results should return to what it was. So the only traffic you’ve really lost are clicks on old links to your site that have already been shared across the web.

  Thank you very much for your detailed response. I will consider all of the options and do some more research about upgrading.
