Changed Site Address

    I changed my site address and now my followers are getting messages that I deleted my site when they go to like a blog post. Please someone help

    Hi there,

    If you mean they are clicking on old shared, bookmarked or emailed links, then this is what will happen, yes. Any links you ever shared to the old address are specific to that address. As that address is now deleted, those links will say that.

    When you changed the site address all links were rewritten to the new address, so people will need to update their browser bookmarks to get to your site at the new location. But it might not be possible to update all old links you shared on social media or directly with other people. There’s not much that can be done about that.
