Changing a registered domain name

  Hi ,

  i have registered the domain travelwithmyfood.com and paid for it for which it is still active. but i would like to change the domain name to makeupbysinthiya.com .
  Is there any way i can change the name ?

  Hi there,

  When you register a domain name, you’re purchasing the right to use that exact name with your site. If you’d like a different domain name, you can Register a New Domain for your site. (You’re welcome to have multiple domain names registered for the same site.)

  If you no longer want the old domain name, you can cancel it when it expires or if you’d like to cancel it now just let me know and I can do that for you. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  Hi ,

  i would like to cancel it and change the name to makeupbysinthiya.com.

  Can i transfer the old name to this ?
  if i cancel the current name , do i have to pay again to change to a new name ?
  Kindly assist .

  Hi there,

  There isn’t a way to change or transfer a domain’s name to something new, since the domain registration you paid for is for the exact name you chose then (travelwithmyfood.com). If you want to use the new name makeupbysinthiya.com, you’ll need to register it as a new domain and pay for it separately.

  You can keep the old domain name until it expires, if you’d like — that’s separate from the decision to register a new name. But if you’d still like to cancel that old domain name, please let me know.
