Changing a Viewer to an Author

    I’ve tried following the directions to change users’ roles (go to People, click on the person, use the drop-down menu to change the role), but I don’t seem to be able to get to individual pages/profiles for Viewers so I can upgrade them to Authors. My blog is private, and everyone was initially invited as a Viewer, but I want to give some people the power to post. Thank you!

    Hi there, you’ll need to reinvite those Viewers to their new role. They can’t be “upgraded” like those in the Editor, Author or Contributor roles. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
