Changing Admin email to owner

  I am trying to change my email address on my profile but have not received an email confirmation from wordpress. I have not gotten an email confirmation back from wordpress. My previous designer- now MIA- had his email on the account and I’m trying to change it to mine. I need primary control of site. Then, how do I change password?

  I want to join the ‘ My Site’ feature( which I am posting on) but it is asking me to create a new site – how can I add my existing site ?

  Are you changing the email at https://wordpress.com/me/account or on a different page for a site hosted outside of WordPress.com?

  Keep in mind that if WordPress.com does not host the site, this question will be better for WordPress.org forums. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.

  I am accessing through my own site – /wpadmin

  This was set up by a third party who has gone missing so I want to control activity at this point since .

  i requested the change on that page
