Changing (and reclaiming) blog address?
-
Hi, I had wanted to switch addresses of 2 blogs: changing A to B, and B to A.
My plan was to change blog A to (temporarily) C, change B to the (vacant) A and then change C to B, mistakenly thinking that once a blog address was vacated, it could be claimed. (I had created a dummy blog address, changed to a new address, and successfully changed back to the old vacated address — but I think that was only because it had no content.)So of course (and despite the warning that the address would be lost permanently) trying to ‘reclaim’ the A address once I had changed that (to C) didn’t turn out to be possible, with the A address now ‘deleted’. I get why this is the case; and it was certainly my error: a silly knuckle-headed gambit.
I understand the hassle this would cause the admin and technical staff, but I’m wondering if they are willing to consider this special request to reclaim the ‘A’ address that was vacated of my own volition just 12 hours ago. (Of course it goes without saying that I’ll gladly provide whatever verification needed to demonstrate that the address was mine — as well as, if needed, evidence of the humble pie that I had served myself in the meantime.)
Thanks in advance,

Hi just wanted to follow up on this:
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/changing-and-reclaiming-blog-address/
In short, it was my error to change the blog address. I know I was warned that this is an irreversible process. But is it absolutely not possible to restore the original address?
Many thanks,
