Changing blog names?

I have been trying to change the name of blogs I’ve created, but can’t find a way to do this.
I have several blogs with the right name, but wrong address, or vice-versa.
If I try deleting everything, it says I won’t be able to get the name back???Please advise.

Changing the title of the site is simple, changing the address is not.
If you want to change the title only, then you can do so under Dashboard>Settings>General>Site Title. More here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/
To change the address of the site, most forum volunteers (including me) will tell you it is better to simply register a new address as an additional site, export the old site’s content using the Export function and then import that content into the new site. Then, make the old site Private, because once deleted neither you nor anyone else will ever be able to use that address again.

Yes, there is that fancy Change Blog Address function, but it seems like no one really reads the fine print while following the procedure and then they have a seizure when they discover that they can’t get back to their old site address and/or username because they’ve deleted it during the address change process. Better to keep it simple. Export/Import and done!
