Changing blog URL

  How do I change the URL address of my blog? I couldn’t find anything in WordPress support that answered this question. I found one answer, but when I tried to do it on my own the settings were not the same as their screenshots in the answer. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You found the correct instructions for changing a blog address ie. a URL on a free hosted worpress.com blog to another blog address ie URL. Where exactly do bog down please?

  Do note that you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to change the URL and the URL you desire must be available as well.

  My “My Blogs” page (from the dashboard) doesn’t have the same options as the one they’re showing in the instructions. I have no option to change blog address. If I go to plain old “account settings” (from wordpress.com, not from my dashboard) I can enter a new address but when I click “save changes” it doesn’t update. The new address I enter doesn’t work.

  Also which URL are you trying to change to?

  Yes I’m trying to change that URL to http://atomicletters.wordpress.com. I can change it in “account settings,” but for some reason it doesn’t get applied.

  atomicletters.wordpress.com doesn’t exist

  Hi there,

  The instructions on this page you mentioned earlier are the right ones for changing your blog address: Changing a Blog Address

  You’ll need to head to your My Blogs page in your dashboard, at this link:

  http://joannarwendel.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs

  There, you can hover over your blog address and the Change Blog Address link will appear on the screen.

  Please let me know if you have any further trouble with that!
