  Hi. I am trying to start a new blog. I have already purchased the domain and have started working on it, but I am realizing that an old blog I do not use anymore is popping up when I log into wordpress. It says that I will not be able to use wordpress for 30 days if I delete my old blog. How should I go about this? thanks!

  Hi there!

  I see that you’ve already deleted the site at https://foreyearsofcollege.wordpress.com – are you all set now?

  It says that I will not be able to use wordpress for 30 days if I delete my old blog.

  I think there’s a misunderstanding there. If you delete a site, you can restore that site within 30 days. After that, the deleted site and its address can’t be reused anymore.

  If you have your own domain and the site is hosted elsewhere (not with us at WordPress.com), this might not affect you, but feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
