Changing Domain
-
I am trying to change to a domain that I have used before, but when I enter it it says that it’s currently in use. However this isn’t the case. How do I access this domain again?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
There aren’t any domains on the WordPress.com account you are logged in to. Can you confirm which domain you would like to use?
Once I know more, I’ll take a look for you!

My domain is currently georgetimms.wordpress.com and I am trying to change to georgetimmsftbl.wordpress.com. I have had this domain previously and attempted to change back to it.

Hi there,
You aren’t able to change your WordPress.com address to georgetimmsftbl.wordpress.com because you deleted the site. Once a site has been deleted it’s not possible to recover it or reuse the WordPress.com address.
If you would like to use a different address, you can register a custom domain for your site:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/
Let me know if you have any questions.

That is disappointing as I didn’t mean to delete it, surely it is possible to somehow recover it?

Hi,
surely it is possible to somehow recover it?
I’m afraid it’s not possible to recover it now. This guide has more information about the process of deleting a site:
Going forward, you have two options: create a site with a similar username or register a custom domain.
If you need any more help, just let me know.

Hi,
What would making a custom domain mean? Could I use georgetimmsftbl for that?
You can hide the .wordpress.com part of your site’s address by registering a new domain. This means you could use ‘georgetimmsftbl.com’ instead of ‘georgetimms.wordpress.com’ if you wanted to.
Each paid plan includes a domain credit which you can use to register a domain:

Come back to me if you have any questions.
