Changing domain name

    I created a website using oleblueaussies.wordpress.com. I created another one called oleblueaussies1.com for a fresh restart because I had learned a lot from the first website. By deleting the first website, I believe I also disabled myself from being able to use that url, oleblueaussies.com. I know it says when you change your url you prevent yourself from being able to use that url, but I suppose I didn’t think that would be affected when deleting a site.
    My client would like to go premium with her site, using the url: oleblueaussies.com (without the 1 in the url). Am I at all able to recover the original url of oleblueaussies.com? Would going premium help me with that?

    That only applies to free WordPress.com URLs, like oleblueaussies.wordpress.com – if you change OR delete such an address, it is not possible to use it again.

    Where did you create that site? oleblueaussies1.com and oleblueaussies.com are both what’s called custom domains. A custom domain is something that has to be bought from a domain registry via a domain provider, and from what I can see neither of those domains are currently registered, and neither of them has ever been registered with WordPress.com.

    I do see oleblueaussies1.wordpress.com in your WordPress.com account, but that’s something completely different from oleblueaussies1.com.

    If what you’re in fact saying is that you want to use oleblueaussies.wordpress.com rather than oleblueaussies.com, then you can’t, as you deleted oleblueaussies.wordpress.com and deleted WordPress.com addresses cannot be re-used. And as you did this more than 30 days ago, we also cannot reverse that deletion.

    If you want to add the custom domain, oleblueaussies.com, to your new site, that would require that you upgrade to at least our Personal Plan, which would allow you to register that domain.
