Changing domain name and revamping site.

    I currently have a domain name with wordpress. I am closing the business which uses that domain name and want to revamp my original website, keeping some of the original elements and removing others. I will also require a new domain name from wordpress. Please advise.

    Hi –

    My suggestion is to get the new site built out (or mostly built out) with our one of our free site addresses. Click on My Sites – Domains – Add New to register another site to the same account. You can have multiples on one account, no worries there.

    Once you get going, and have a better idea of the functions you need, look at the paid plans. You will need the personal plan or higher to use a custom domain. https://wordpress.com/plans/ We may be able to just transfer the plan off of the old site and on to the new one, too, depending on when it was renewed. Let us know the old site URL so we can take a look at that status.
