changing domain ownership over to WordPress

right now my domain name is owned by Verio i would prefer everything just to be in one place at WordPress. im trying to figure out how to cancel my Domain subscription with Verio and switch ownership to WordPress without losing the specific domain name. thank you for any help!!

While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
