Changing email

    Hello, I keep trying to change my contact email (since it’s incorrect) but every time I try, I am not sent an email to the correct address to update it. Please advise thank you.

    Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Unknown
    Correct account: Unknown

    Hi! Is there any change the address still exists in our system? If you’ll share the email address here, we can check to see if it has an existing account.

    And, if you type it as an email address, it will be hidden from public view. Staff will be able to see it.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for that. I don’t see any WordPress.com accounts using that email address. However, I don’t see any WordPress.com sites on this account either. Were you trying to change the email address on your site at kathleenforte.com or something on that site?

    I ask because your site at kathleenforte.com is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and is hosted elsewhere. It seems to be hosted by Siteground at the moment.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on WordPress.com.

    You can reach out to your host for help with your site. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and could also be able to help you here.

    Note that I visited your site and clicked the Contact link in the menu. It does have the email address you shared above. So perhaps you’re all set?
