changing email address

i have two sites. when i opened the second, the system automatically allocated the same email address. but i have a second and separate email address for the second site. i have changed it in account settings, but it is still pending. why? how can i resolve this?

If you want a different email address for the second site, you’ll need to create a completely separate WordPress.com username account.
Log out of this account and clear your browser cache and cookies. Then go to this link to create a new account:
https://wordpress.com/start/account/user/
Then log back into this account and follow these instructions to transfer the site to the new account:
