Changing email-adress

    I would like to change my e-mailadress from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). When I try to change my e-mailadress, its says: ‘this e-mailadress is already used’.

    The account that email address was attached to was deleted 3 days ago. Email addresses on deleted accounts are held for a number of days for security purposes.

    Have you thought about using a gmail alias for now? Instead of using this:

    yourrealemail (at) gmail (dot) com

    Use this:

    yourrealemail+otheraccount (at) gmail (dot) com

    You can make that +1, +whatever, +doesnotmatter … whatever letters or numbers make the most sense to you. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect a second email account that delivers to the same address.
