Changing Existing Free Domain Name

    I opened a WordPress free blog a few years ago, but I wish to change the primary domain name and also employ a ‘redirect’ feature to bring those logging in using the old domain name to the new domain. Is this too much to do? Do I have to pay for the domain to make these changes.
