Changing extinct email address

  Hi,

  We’d like to change the profile email, but doing so requires the assent of the old email address. The problem is, that email address was deleted a while back and therefore can’t confirm the change. Any ideas?

  Hey there,

  If you can no longer access the original email address, we’ll need to change the address on the account for you. To do so, we’ll need one of the following:

  * the API key from your account’s welcome email
  * a PayPal transaction ID from “Paid Upgrades” in the blog’s dashboard.

  If you have access to either of these pieces of information, please email support [at] wordpress [dot] com with the information, along with your request. If you’re not able to find either of these things, I’m afraid there’s nothing we can do.
