changing header and adding new post

  I’ve tried to customize the header image behind the site title and tag line, and then I wrote a new post with a header of its own and a photo, but when I click preview the new header image appears but with the title of the new post. How can I keep my customized header and add new posts that don’t mess with it? Thank you.

  Hi there,

  I’m not sure I understand. I see the exact same header you added in the Cusomizer when I view your site at https://charlesganelin.wordpress.com/.

  If you mean it changes on individual posts, that’s expected. This theme supports featured image headers, meaning if you assign a featured image for a post or page, that featured image will appear instead of the custom header when that particular post or page is viewed.

  Thank you for the quick reply! After much more tinkering and a few frustrations, I figured out a few things: if I make the homepage static it keeps what I’ve written when I do a new post. It’s also possible I didn’t explain myself clearly enough as I’m new at this.

  And now to help my wife set up her blog…
