Changing height of header image in Gateway Theme

I have an image I want to use for my header that is 2560 x 1538. Is there a way I can use this entire picture without it being cropped down to the default 2560 x 640?

Hi, the image you have now is 2560px by 1047px. We can force it to show the 1047px height, but the issue we would have with a CSS solution would be that anyone on a smaller tablet or phone would end up having to scroll down a couple screens or more to get to your content.

Gateway supports the Flexible Header feature, so you can upload and use any size image you wish and during the process “skip” the cropping. I would suggest starting with this as the CSS to increase the height of the header could be quite involved.

Just as a suggestion, you may wish to think about having such a tall header image. The reason I mention this is that most people’s monitors are around 800px to 1200px tall, and with a 1500 + pixel tall image, they would have to scroll down quite a way before getting to any content.

    Just a thought. :)
