Changing into a new domain for a temporary period
-
Hello, there has been someone that makes me feel threatened after I gave him my blog address. As I cannot figure a way to block him from accessing my site while still keeping it in public mode, I’m thinking of changing my blog address, but just for a short time because I don’t want to lose the current one. So if I changed it into a new address and not discarding the old one, would he still be able to access the site via the old address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You will not be able to access the old one, I’m afraid. Once changed or deleted, you will not be able to use the original domain.

But it has an option to choose to permanently discard the original address or not. If I choose no, the original address will appear under My Sites. Does that mean that the original address can still be accessed and revived?

So, I suppose there is a somewhat long way to do this.
You could change your site’s name and then keep the old name. When you wanted to switch back to the old name, you’d need to export your content from the new site and then import into the new site.
To be honest though, that’s a lot of work for no promise that your problem user would be fooled by the trick.
And as always, I would encourage you to contact law enforcement if someone is threatening you.
