Changing my domain

  I would like to change my domain from roadtothecyclone2017.wordpress.com to abovetheice.wordpress.com but it says it’s already in use. However, when I tried to visit abovetheice.wordpress.com a page comes up that says the author deleted the site.

  If the author deleted the site, why can’t I use it?

  Hi there,

  When a site is deleted, it can only be recovered by another user after 2 years. If the site was deleted by their authors two or more years ago it may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.
