Changing the blog title

  I would like to shorten my blog title. How do I do that and will I lose my followers?

  Hi there,

  You can edit your site title at any time at My Site ->Manage ->Settings. It won’t have any effect on your followers or your content. Search engines might still show the old title in search results for a while, but that will also update eventually.

  If you’re speaking of your free WordPress.com address, you can update that at My Site ->Manage ->Domains:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  This also won’t affect your followers, but any links you may have shared using the old address will stop working, because that old address gets deleted in the process. You will also see a drop in visitors being sent to your site by search engines, but that will be temporary only while search engines re-index your site at the new address.
