Changing the look of my WordPress site

  I’ve purchased the guided transfer and everything went smoothly. I just tried to change some details about my website’s theme such as the snapshot, the description, etc. These changes are not reflected on my live website even though it says it has been updated. Furthermore, I’ve also added a plugin that allows for social media buttons called “round social media buttons”. In the settings it says that everything is saved however nothing is changed on my website. How can I make changes to the look of my website now? (particularly the theme and this plugin)
