Changing the name of your primary blog and deleting the old name

I want to change the name of my primary blog without changing my email address. The “dotme” or “dotcom” after the blog name is very unappealing & for my purposes not acceptable. Any hope of doing that in WordPress? if so please email me those instructions at (email visible only to moderators and staff).

There are two ways to change a blog address ie. a blog URL.
1. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
2. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
