Changing the password of the user account that owns our WordPress Site

  The person who set up our Community WordPress site as ‘admin’ has moved on and we do not have the password. I have an Admin account but I’m not the ‘owner’. Would someone advise me how to either get/change the ‘Admin’ account password, or change the ‘owner’ of the website? Many thanks

  Hi there, if the site is hosted here on WPcom, the site owner can transfer ownership of the site to another admin and can follow this guide to do so > https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Alternatively, they can log in under the site owner account and post in this forum thread that they want the site ownership and any upgrades, if relevant, transferred to you or another admin account.
