Changing theme

  I am trying to change my theme but the one I downloaded is not listed under available themes under appearances. It’s strange because the theme I have now is not located under available themes either even though it’s the theme i chose when I signed up for wordpress.

  The theme you have now is not listed as available specifically because you’re using it. If you switch to a new theme, it’ll show in the theme browser.

  Themes from outside WordPress.com, however, cannot be added to a WordPress.com blog. You ONLY have the options on your Dashboard->Appearance->Themes page, although you can do an amazing job of customization if you know CSS editing and buy the upgrade.

  External themes are for WordPress.ORG blogs, not WordPress.COM blogs.
