Changing URL

  Hello!

  Somehow I managed to change my blog URL to what I want it to be (sarahknothwriter.wordpress.com), but when I type it into the address bar and the website starts to connect, the URL address instantly turns back to what my old website is (sarahdtowne.com) – which is what I don’t want it to be. I paid for sarahdtowne.com but want sarahknothwriter.wordpress.com (and it does work! but..) —– help! How do I switch it over and get the address to stop reading sarahdtowne.com once the website has loaded.

  You can control which domain is primary via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Thank you for the response.

  When I go to Store->Domains, it says that sarahdtowne.com is my primary and that sarahknothwriter.wordpress.com is redirected to sarahdtowne.com. The button that says “Update Primary Domain” cannot be pressed. Thoughts?

  So you do not want http://sarahdtowne.com/ to lead to http://sarahknothwriter.wordpress.com at all? In that case, delete the domain mapping; ask for a refund if you’re within 24 hours of having purchased it.
