changing URL without losing readers

  i want to change my URL but i dont want to lose views. is there a way to direct readers to my new URL when they try to go to my previous site?

  No matter what you do, you WILL lose readers by changing URL. The only procedure which brings compensating benefits is upgrading to a Custom URL, which retains the old URL as well as adds a new, easier to remember one.

  You can put up a static page to direct readers to the new page, but most of them won’t click through it. I speak from experience.
