Changing username

  I wont to make a change so that a different username appears in the sites url. Can i do this by simply changing my username or my display name?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi there!

  Can you tell us more about which URL you are referring to?

  You can change the Public Display Name that will change how the author name is displayed on the site. You can change the username too if you want. The instructions for that are here: https://wordpress.com/support/change-your-username/

  However, note that once you change your username, you can’t go back and the previous (current) username will not be available/reusable in the future.
