Changing WordPress.com email address

  When I log into wordpress.com with my email address, it automatically changes over to my username and then logs me in. However, in my account settings it shows a different email address to the one I use to login, and when I try and change it, it says email is already in use.

  So, I log in with email address A, but in settings it shows email address B, and I cannot change it to email A because it is already in use.
