Charge for account
-
I was trying to set up a free account in order to prepare for a course I’m teaching using WordPress. When I went to the page for choosing a plan, it did not offer a free option. I selected the Personal version and when I went forward I still found no option for a free plan. I was then charged $35.88. I thought about it for awhile and decided that I wanted the free account because that is what we are expecting our students to do, so I went back in a canceled the account. This all occurred within about 15 minutes of the original order. I checked my credit card and found that you had credited the $35.88 and then turned around and charged another $30 to the card. That is unacceptable. I would like for you to credit my card for that $30. I plan to contact the credit card company tomorrow to dispute the charge.
I just noticed that the button says ‘Ask in the forums’. Does that mean that WordPress doesn’t support their product? The previous page said to ‘contact us for help’, but a forum of community users is not the ones responsible for the product. I’m guessing that this is the same kind of method that was used to not show the free account option when a user proceeds through the website.

I have processed the rest of that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you and our apologies for any inconvenience.
