I was charged 2 years ago for my WordPress account but all my content has not been available online and appears to be lost forever.

Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? I can confirm that kindnessofstrangers.blog is registered at WordPress.com but is under a different account and not your kindnessofstrangerssallytanya login.
