Charges for plans?

  WordPress being an opensource license holder is charging fees for basic services a platform such as WordPress should be giving?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I think if you look around the Interweb you’ll find there aren’t many places where you can get free hosting. WordPress.com provides free sites for umpteen (millions?) happy users. However if you want more than that, no ads, a custom domain, Simple payments, CSS etc etc then you have to pay for an upgraded plan just like you would at BlueHost or any of the others.
