Child theme style.css: duplicate or the parent theme's style.css?

  Is there any instance where a child theme’s style.css would need to be a duplicate (plus customizations) of the parent theme’s style.css?

  Howdy –

  The child theme would only need to contain the new customizations. The base styles would be inherited from the parent theme. Does that make sense?
