Choosing my own domain name org.au

    If I want to chose my own domain name do I have to upgrade with .com first. For example I want to use nembcnews.org.au. I already have nembcnews.wordpress.com but want to upgrade my business plan with word press and use my domain nembcnews.org.au MY QUESTION is: what do I upgrade to and does it need to be nembcnews.com so I can Connect my Domain later? Or can I use nembcnews.org?

    You wouldn’t need to purchase an additional domain with the upgrade.

    You can use the default .WordPress.com domain, and when ready you can connect the domain as per: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/ if the domain is with another provider.

    Connecting the domain is free to do with the plans on WordPress.com.
