Chrome reset, site disappeared

    Hi there,

I recently refreshed the ‘People’ in my Chrome browser, because it was an old email. I wasn’t using that emial for anything, and I wasn’t signed in.

After refreshing, all my login details disappeared. When I logged into WordPress with my email (email visible only to moderators and staff), which I had used ot create a site, the site was gone.

    1) It was that exact email I had used, and I had been receiving communication form wordpress in my inbox from that email
    2) My site wasn’t published, but everything was saved – it’s http://www.inmyjapan.home.blog
    3) When I logged in with (email visible only to moderators and staff) afte refreshing, I got another ‘welcome to WordPress’ email

I know my site exists, because when I tried to create it again, the automatic url became inmyjapan2.

Can someone explain to me what’s going on and how I fix it?

  • Hi there,

You are posting here as the WordPress.com username, gradel93. This username account was created two hours ago, and has never owned any sites on WordPress.com.

https://inmyjapan.home.blog/ belongs to a completely different WordPress.com account, associated with a completely different email address than the one you used to create this new account.

If you don’t remember the correct login details for that site, you can find our account recovery options here:

    Hey kokkieh

Yes, I know… my point is, of the three email addresses I have (work, school, general), I’ve tried loggin in with all of them, and the only one to be recognised is my (email visible only to moderators and staff), which then created a whole new user?

I would like the possibility of at least figuring out which email I’ve used for inmyjapan.home.blog, so I can try and recover the password via. Any help?

  • We cannot tell you the email address connected to the account, as that is what we require from you in order to verify you’re the owner of the account in question.

If you don’t know what email you used for that account, your only option is to follow our account recovery process that I linked to above.
