Claim site not working

    When I first opened my Pinterest account, I only had a redbubble account, so my site was set to that url. Since then, I have built my own .com with WordPress and use Yoast for my SEO and to claim my various social accounts. For some reason, Pinterest will not claim my new url. I copy and paste the meta tag into the appropriate area of my Yoast plugin, save changes, the meta tag appears to change into a string of alphanumeric characters, I submit in Pinterest, and never receive an email and my Pinterest URL never changes. I have tried this at least 6 times now over different days. Please help.

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

    Please contact support for the Yoast SEO plugin directly for help with this.
