Clarification about mature content

Hi!
I’m considering hosting a new blog om WordPress.com and will include ‘mature content’ on occasion. I understand such content is allowed as long as it’s not sexually explicit (i.e. porn). Does this apply to hotlinks or embeds from other sites such as Twitter?
For example, I might write a post about an artist and include an embedded tweet from them that features explicit content. Since it wouldn’t be hosted on WordPress, would it still violate the content policy? Furthermore, if my site ever crosses the content policy line, will I still have access to export my blog before it’s suspended?
I don’t intend to run afoul with WordPress. The blog will mainly be about media criticism. Just looking for clarification before I commit. I might migrate to self-hosting in the future, but I’m not quite ready for that yet.

Linking to pornographic content will cause your site to be suspended as well.
If you’re planning on posting mature content we also ask that you self-report your site as mature. I can do that for you via this thread. Please just confirm the URL of the site in question.
Furthermore, if my site ever crosses the content policy line, will I still have access to export my blog before it’s suspended?
We do not discuss details on suspended sites or the suspension process in the public forums. Suspensions are handled on a case by case basis by our terms of service team when a site owner contacts them regarding a suspended blog.
