Clarification on expiry date of subscription

    I just – today, 13 May – paid $99 subscription for the Premium package. It is supposed to be an annual one. Why did I get a message indicating expiry/renewal of my subscription on 13 April, 2015 (in 11 months time)?

    Hi there!

    Since the WordPress.com Premium plan includes a domain registration, we attempt to renew the upgrade a month early in case there are any issues. We want to avoid the possibility of you losing your domain due to a purchasing error.

    Your subscription still goes until May 13, 2015, so if you disable auto renewal, you don’t have to renew a month early.
