clarifying use of permitted affiliate links

    Hi

I am in the process of rebuilding and consolidating several blogs and moving them to WordPress where I shall be taking an appropriate domain name when ready. Where I am a little confused is regarding the issue of affiliate program links. I am author with one book published and another soon to be released. I understand that I am permitted to use links to Amazon etc for my own products.

I also review books and post material about writing in general (eg http://wordsbyross.wordpress.com/). If I have understood the policy correctly, I am also permitted to include similar product links to materials I have reviewed provided the purpose of the blog is not solely just attempting to drive traffic to those affiliate programs. None of the content is paid or sponsored in any way.

Have I correctly interpreted the relevant policies?

Is there a specific process I need to go through in order to prove which products are mine and gaining permission to use the Amazon links to accompany reviews etc where/when appropriate?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is correct (note that I am not a staff member but have been here longer than most staff). Occasionally a blog following the rules finds that its links no longer work, but instead redirect to the Types of Blogs page on WordPress.com; if that happens, simply contact staff and explain the situation.
