Clearing Cache

Hi – I would like to clear my site’s cache as updates to my posts are not showing on mobile. Could someone help me out?

  • Hi there,

We do not have a specific way to reset the cache on your site but also that should not be necessary. I visited your site on my phone and I can see your 3 blog posts there, so for me none of them are missing.

Can you tell us more about the issue you are having? What posts are not showing up on mobile? Can you take a screenshot (including the URL of the page you are viewing posts on) of what you see and share that with us?

To share a screenshot with us, you can upload it to the Media Library on your site, and then copy the image URL. You can see a video of how to do this here: https://d.pr/v/Fcnerp

Once you have the image URL just paste it into your reply and we will be able to see your screenshot, thanks!

Thank you – working now. Guess it just needed time.

  • Hi again,

I should clarify that the blog posts block (and most elements on WordPress.com that require pulling dynamic data such as post lists) can be cached for performance reasons.

This is a bit of a tradeoff that helps keep your site performance where it needs to be so it loads fast for visitors and and satisfies the performance requirements of search engines such as Google.

Because of this you can sometimes see the blog posts block (on your blog page) will not show a post right away, but they will appear after a few minutes. The local cache on your browser can also do the same, so it can sometimes help to clear your browser cache but in most cases waiting a few minutes is sufficient.

    Hope this helps!
