This is hilarious. They say I must contact support to close my account, then they send me to a page where I can ONLY post in the forums. What?

I’ve reviewed the account. There’s still a few upgrades in place which is why you are unable to close the account. This prevents you from messing up a domain for example.
I can see that there’s still a domain mapping on tatyanamoraczewski.com which is connected to sleeptalkradio.wordpress.com. There was also a business plan added as well.
Before the account can be closed we need to cancel that domain mapping and revert sleeptalkradio.wordpress.com from a business plan back to a free plan. Is it ok if I make those changes? You will want to go ahead and create a site export, and save everything from there that you may want to have record of or use again. This includes images.

Yes, please revert everything back to free plan – then delete them. All of this was for testing for another project… Has the sleeptalkradio plan been charged more than once?

No, only the one charge, which was then refunded.
I have removed the upgrades, so you can now close your account following https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/

Thank you! So I went to close it and all was going well until, on the top right hand corner of my browser window I got a popup saying: “Sorry, there was a problem closing your account. Please contact support.”
