  Hi. I am trying to delete my WordPress account, but it keeps giving me an error saying that it ‘cannot close the account whilst it has active subscriptions’. There are no active subscriptions on the account. How do I fix this error?

  I can’t see any subscription on this particular account – can you tell me if there’s an additional account with a different username and email address in use?

  I suspect these subscriptions may be with a different account from the one you’re communicating with us currently.

  Hi, thanks for your reply. I have a second WordPress account that is linked to the same site. That is my original WordPress account, and the one I want to keep. This one I am trying to delete was set up in error, as I purchased a particular subscription for my site under a different email address by mistake, when I meant to set it up under the email address linked to my main WordPress account. As a result, this second WordPress account was set up. The subscription in question has now been cancelled and has expired, so I am unsure why I am unable to delete it.

  Hi there!

  Could you reply from the other account so that we can look into that? Since you’re posting from this account, which has no site, we aren’t really able to help. We’ll be happy to help with deleting the site you don’t want to keep once you’ve replied from the other account (which owns the site).
