    That doesn’t seem to be the case – when I follow that link I’m led to a page which says ‘Account closure cannot be undone. It will remove your account along with all your sites and all their content. You will not be able to open a new WordPress.com account using the same email address for 30 days. To close this account now, contact our support team.’
    If I select either the link or the contact button I’m taken to a ‘contact us’ page with the message ‘Post a new question in our public forums, where it may be answered by helpful community members, by submitting the form below. Please do not provide financial or contact information when submitting this form.’

    That’s how I get here and it’s seemingly nowhere near closing my account! :-(

    Hi there!

    For you to be able to close the account, we will need to revert your site greedypigspantry.wordpress.com to the state it was before you uploaded the first plugin.
    You will likely lose all content added afterward, but I guess you don’t mind that since you’re looking to close the account.
    Could you please confirm you are okay with that?
